PaperFlip

PaperFlip app screens: deck library and a generated deck review

Project Summary

PaperFlip turns things you read or watch into flashcards. Paste a YouTube link, upload a PDF or drop in an article, and it generates a study deck in seconds. Cards are scheduled with spaced repetition so you review each one right before you would forget it, and teams can share decks in study projects.

It started as a web app and grew into native iPhone, iPad and Android apps that work offline and sync with the same backend.

What I did

I built the web app, the backend, and the iOS and Android apps. The parts I’m most pleased with are the import pipeline (transcripts, PDF text and article extraction feeding the AI), the offline sync engine on mobile, and a share extension so you can send a PDF to PaperFlip straight from another app.
