Project Summary
PDF Editor AI is a full PDF workspace for iPhone and iPad: reading, annotating with Apple Pencil, editing pages, scanning paper to searchable PDF, and signing. The everyday tools people usually go online for, like compress, merge, split, watermark and page numbers, all run inside the app.
The AI features (summaries, chat with a document, translation, data extraction and form filling) run on the device using Apple’s Foundation Models, so documents never leave the phone.
What I did
I built the iOS app and led its Android port, plus the product website. The interesting engineering was keeping a large app responsive with big files, making scanned pages searchable with on-device OCR, and getting answers from the AI to point back to the right page.
